AcroYoga is a partner practice that blends the wisdom of yoga, the dynamic power of acrobatics, and the loving kindness of Thai Massage. This practice cultivates trust, playfulness, and community, while building strength, balance and flexibility. In AcroYoga we support and empower each other to reach new heights and celebrate the joy of embodiment. This workshop will introduce you to the principles of AcroYoga, add value and depth to your yoga practice and/or yoga teaching skills. Some foundational skills of AcroYoga include: finding your center of gravity, aligning your bones with your partner, perfect fit, and efficient use of your strength. For yoga teachers, this workshop will include material that you can apply to your regular yoga classes, festivals or team building events, such as group warm ups, individual strength building, inversion training, partner strength building, trio AcroYoga fundamental work, Thai massage and flying therapeutics. This workshop will introduce you to the principles of AcroYoga, add value and depth to your yoga practice and/or yoga teaching skills. Accessible to all levels of experience, you don’t need to be a yoga teacher to join us for a fun afternoon of AcroYoga – all are welcome! May be taken as an elective for the Roots of Yoga Advanced (300-hour) Teacher Training.

About Tamara Vodovoz Tamara began practicing Yoga when she was 17 years old in Colombia. Curious to find creative ways for embodied self expression and joyfull connections with others, she found the magical alchemy of AcroYoga. Today she enjoys sharing this practice with people from all walks of life. She believes AcroYoga offers a safe space to fulfill our needs for human contact and feeling empowered by trusting and lifting each other.
About Hannah Muse Known for her mindful, compassionate approach, Hannah teaches yoga in Santa Cruz and at conferences, festivals, retreats and trainings globally. She co-leads the beloved ROOTS of Yoga Teacher Trainings (both 200 hour and Advanced 300 hour) as well as the Mount Madonna Prenatal Trainings. Voted as one of the Top 3 Yoga Teachers in Santa Cruz the past 5 years in a row, Hannah is committed to sharing the sacred practices of yoga and meditation that continue to heal her body, awaken her heart, and inspire her life.
